Brother Michael arrives to the Oratory on August the 8th

Brother Michael Young arrived to the Oratory on August 8, 2011. The community was very pleased that he returned after an absence. Michael is spending one year in community, after which he will be attending seminary. Brother is the sacristan of the Oratory Church and is studying philosophy in preparation for his studies at seminary. We support Michael in his endeavours and know that he will make a great priest.

Fall came late to the Oratory. We enjoyed mild weather into November. About two weeks ago all the trees started turning gold and red. We enjoyed cool days with lots of sunshine. The Oratory grounds are enjoyed by many as they come to walk around and reflect.

Bishop of Charleston Visits Rock Hill

On Monday, January 24th, the Most Reverend Robert E. Guglielmone, Bishop of Charleston, visited St. Anne Parish in Rock Hill, where he celebrated a Holy Mass for the students of St. Anne School, followed by a meeting of the School Board and a luncheon. That evening, the Bishop hosted a reception in the Fr. William Pentis Life Center to kick off the Bishop’s 2011 Stewardship Appeal. Fr.
