Silence, stillness, and awareness of God’s mysterious presence form the foundation of the ancient prayer practice of contemplation. This program will explore what contemplation is, its roots in scripture and church tradition and how to nurture contemplative prayer in our daily lives.

“Be Still and Know” the Presence of God

With practical advice about how to integrate prayer into a busy schedule, and time for questions and answers, this is a perfect introduction (or “refresher course”)

Deepening Your Spiritual Life:

Beginning (or Renewing) a Contemplative Prayer Practice This day retreat will draw on the wisdom of Scripture, the saints and contemporary spiritual teachers to help us “connect the dots” between daily prayer and the ordinary demands of life, seeing how God uses our prayer to shape us into the people we are called to be as Christian disciples.

Carl McColmanis a Catholic layman and a Lay Cistercian, an associate of the Trappist monastery in Conyers, Georgia. He is a popular retreat leader and author of numerous books.
