Congratulations to Fr. Joe!

Fr. Joseph Pearce CO, successfully defended his thesis project on Thursday, March 21, 2013 and has been awarded a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Washington Theological Union, Washington D.C. For his thesis project, Fr. Pearce created a course for incoming novices to the Rock Hill Oratory to introduce them to the person of St. Philip Neri and his spirituality. The thesis was entitled , ” The Spirituality of Saint Philip Neri and the Congregation of the Oratory: An introductory class for novices in which there is a brief examination of the life of Saint Philip Neri and the spirituality he bequeathed to the Congregation of Saint Philip Neri.” Congratulations Fr. Joe!

About Fr. Joseph Pearce CO

Fr. Joseph Pearce

Father Joe was born on April 24, 1957 in Queens, NY. He has two brothers and two sisters. He joined the Rock Hill Oratory in 1996. Bishop David B. Thompson ordained him a priest on July 24, 1999.
His first priestly assignment was parochial vicar at St. Philip Neri, where he had served as a deacon. He went on to serve at Divine Saviour in York and All Saints in Lake Wylie.
